Well .. for me it is a PS3 bundle of the year. This is what I have been waiting for all this while. MGS4 was supposed to be out early 2008 but was delayed till Q2, 2008 which is the month of May-July. I was hoping that Sony will make a PS3 Metal Gear Solid 4 bundle and they did ... take a look ...
For the price, is still not stated yet but I know it will not be cheap cuz its a 80GB PS3 console. Here are oso some of the cool looking MGS4 banners and the release date is June 12, 2008 .. SNEAK OUT !!!

Just bloggin around ...
Finally had the chance to goto Keane's shop (SCE) at Kotaraya. My fren finally got her Rose Pink PSP after waiting for some time. She got a nice PSP package bundle which includes alot of goodies especially a very nice looking black bag. She really luv it and im glad she does.
I was so sad that she was able to play Patapon (English ver.), where I have to wait for my ori version to be release sometime this week. We when to Mcdonald's and Starbucks, grab ourselves some coffee and just chit-chatting away. I really enjoy chatting with her.
Then it was time for me to go back home and she was so kind to dropped me off at the Kelana Jaya LRT station.

My 1st The Spoils League
After half a year, I finally step foot into the new and improve Toybox at Taman Paramount. I have to say .. it looks great. Damn nice. I also completed my Spoils deck (Banker/Arcanist) and tried it out in The Spoils League. First, I did not really understand how my deck mechanic works but after trying out a couple of time, I seem to understand how the deck works and also the deck winning condition.
So .. the league started and my 1st match was against Jin. The deck he is using are Warlord/Rogue mixture. Its a good deck, fast and irritating :) I will always remember this ... he manage to counter my Voidal Poisoning :( and he won the match.
2nd round was against a player named Gary (cant really remember his name). He is using a Banker/Arcanist deck, just the opposite of my deck. I locked most of his cretures from attacking me. With the right cards out on my side .. 2 Rummaging Millipede was in play and with that .. i won this game easily.
My last round was with my old WoW TCG fren, Wei Wei. He is piloting a mono-Gearsmith with some Warlord cards. His deck able to produce lotsa token cretures and swarm me with it. As always, Voidal Poison really save the day for me and finally I get to play it. Voidal Poison FTW !!!
Btw .. I got 2nd place and I got The Spoils sleeves as a prize .. how cool is that :)
So .. thats all the league report for now. The Spoils is a fun and entertaining TCG.
Till next time ... Cheers.

Farewell HD-DVD
The war is over, the war between Blu-Ray and HD-DVD. The victor is Blu-Ray. Since Warner Bros decided to move toward Blu-Ray exclusive movies early this year, HD-DVD has begun tumbling down. In the recent news, Toshiba has resigned itself from supporting HD-DVD, for that .. HD-DVD is consider dead. Toshiba has always been a very strong supporter for HD-DVD in the past and I was hoping that HD-DVD will stay longer ... I guess not.
Anyway, Im still having my HD-DVD add-on at home and I wanted to sell it off but still reconsidering because I will be getting a PS3 by this coming April. I will see how lar. The good news is the price for HD-DVD movies will drop like crazy and most of it are at Amazon. Hooray for that :)
I bit u farewell HD-DVD.

One Man Can Make A Difference
One man can make a difference .. thats what Wilton Knight said to Michael Knight before he died in the original Knight Rider series in the 80's. Now a new Knight Rider series is out just this past few days and as always I got to watched it yesterday night. Is certainly a new and improve series, the car and the cast are just right. Some ppl said they would prefer the old car which is a Trans-Am but now ... a Ford Mustang Shelby .. much better. Here's KITT (Knight Industry Three Thousand).
I was surprise to see David Hasselhoff makes a cameo in this series. My goodness, he's old already :p
Also here are some of the new cast in the series. By order ... Justin Bruening, Deanna Russo and Sydney Tamiia Poitier.
I dont wanna spoiled the fun for u guys, just go watch it now. Cheers

The Spoils (part 2)
On my previous post, I already covered the introduction of the The Spoils trading card game (TCG) and I said I would cover the faction details soon, here they are. There are 5 factions to choose from ... Banker, Rogue, Gearsmith, Arcanist and Warlord. Each faction got their own colors of choice.
Banker (Greed icon): As a trade, the Bankers are heavy influence gainers and spenders, and are not known for their COVERT Characters. For instance, playing Concealed Goon (a COVERT Character) will cost you 5 influence, whereas playing Nasty Butler (a low-speed Character) will gain you 4 influence. Bankers also like to draw a lot of cards (using either Cash Out or Beatrix Winterbottom), and have direct Character removal with some benefit to/choice made by their opponents (Irresistible Bribe being an example).
Rogue (Deception icon): As a trade, Rogues try to use their opponent's discard pile against them. And the way they facilitate this is to mill their opponent's library. One particular Character, Pluck, can snatch opponent's discarded Characters, Items or Locations for his controller's use. But it doesn't end in the discard pile; Rogues can take control of some cards their opponents control (an example of a Tactic of this type is Rapine). Some other traits of this trade are high-speed Characters, Speed manipulation, and removing opponent's discard cards from the game, as well as minor control (two examples being the Item Emergency Obfuscation and the Tactic Forced Recruitment).
Warlord (Rage icon): As a trade, Warlords are the straight-forward beaters and damage-dealers. They want to lay down efficient (strength to cost ratio) Characters to attack with while using damage dealing sources to clear the way. They also have cards that will help them to overwhelm their opponents with a sizable board control. They also have one of the most powerful Characters, the Dragon Tank, which destroys one enemy Character per turn and is a 10/10/4 as well, thus clearing the enemies away and doing tremendous damage.
Gearsmith (Elitism icon): As a trade, Gearsmiths use cost reduction in many ways to help spur them ahead (with cards such as Jo Ciendeilio and 1337! aiding them in this endeavour). As well as possessing selective tutoring (drawing specific types of cards), the highest number of Item cards, and Character token creator cards (called Micromajigs, with the stats 1/1/3), they have a "Node" theme that can become quite powerful but is particularly vulnerable.
Arcanist (Obsession icon): As a trade, the Acanists sport the most COVERT Characters. They can bounce their opponent's permanents and force them to discard cards (using cards such as Forget and Degenerate Molestation), as well as generate tokens that can be used from certain cards to bounce cards (such as Quotidian Ejector) or cause their opponent to discard cards. Another ability of these arcane experimenters is to manipulate the libraries and to retrieve specific "type" cards (an example being Servile Centipede, which, on coming into play from your hand, allows you to search for a Tactic).

The Spoils
Okie ... what is The Spoils. Its a new trading card game which I just learn yesterday with some friends of mine at Comics Mart in Midvalley. Since Im already drifted away from WOW TCG and UDE (creator of WOW TCG) also decided to stop supporting Asia community for the game, I decide to move along into The Spoils. I already got myself a booster box and with some help from my frens, I made a Banker/Arcanist Control Stall deck ... can anyone say "BOUNCE BOUNCE".
Here's the introduction of the game ...
The Spoils uses a number of mechanics in common with other collectible card games. Unlike many games of this kind, you start the game with a Faction card in play, which determines how you begin your turn and which actions you are allowed to take. These Factions have special abilities, unique to each Faction card. Currently, only one Faction is available to the public, The Tournament Faction. Special foiled versions of this card were given away at Gen Con.
Players need to amass Resource cards in order to play other cards. Certain cards are "Staple" Resources and any number of these may be played in a deck. As of yet, there have been no non-Staple Resources released. The Factions count as Staples as well, according to the bottom of the card. However, since these are set apart at the beginning of the game or whenever you shuffle your deck, the word Staple tends to refer to Resources. Most cards require between 1 and 4 of these Staple Resources in play to meet the threshold indicated by Resource icons on cards. The Resource icons come in the form of five trades.
To supplement the Staple Resources, players may play any card from their hand face down as a Resource; however, cards played face down in this manner will not count towards the Resource threshold.
Playable cards come in several types, not counting Staples: Characters, Items, Tactics, and Locations. Each of these types often have subtypes. To win the game, the opponent's Faction must be reduced to 0 influence. The Tournament Faction starts with 25 influence. The Faction's influence may be reduced by attacking it with Characters, or by using Tactics or special abilities. Characters have three stats: Strength (amount of damage the Character deals), Life (amount of damage needed to destroy the Character), and Speed (faster Characters deal their damage earlier).
There are 4 factions in The Spoils, they are Banker, Arcanist, Rogue, Warlord and Gearsmith. All are equally powerful. Here are what the actual cards looks like ...
Ill go into the details for all 4 factions another time.

Some devil do cry after meeting Dante and Nero
The new Devil May Cry (DMC) series just hit the stores here and it's DMC4. I just got the game from Gamers Hideout yesterday and only had the chance to play till the 1st boss encounter .. the fire dude, cant really remember his name :p
The graphics are stunning but earlier I saw the PS3 version ... I have to say the PS3 version is much better and sharper. Gameplay still the same as all the previous DMC series, hack, slash and shoot demons, doing the unbelievable combo moves and collecting orbs.
There was a bonus DVD that comes along with it but I did not bother to get it. Have to pay RM30 just for it. Well .. im just gonna burn it from a fren. Hope the next DMC series will come for the PSP, just like God of War.
Cheers

GONG XI FA CAI
Killzone: Liberation
Recently I just bought my 3rd PSP game at Subang Parade. Its Killzone: Liberation. After hearing alot of players recommending this game to me, I had to go check it myself. Im glad I went to Subang Parade and found it on sale. The game is kinda old already and I assume that it will be really hard to find. This shop I went to had a copy available for sale and I grab it without any hesitation. I even bought a hard-casing for my PSP ... its a 3rd party brand. Hope it last long.
Try the game during the nite and its an awesome game. I really enjoy it and could not put my PSP down at all. Really addictive but in the end I just have to take a break.

After I came back from Singapore. Touch down at 1Utama. I went straight to Gamers Hideout (GH) at Cineleisure to buy my PSP Slim & Lite, the color is Ice Silver. I only got 2 games which is Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops PLUS and Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions.
Then I just took a cab back to Subang Parade to met up with another friend. Got Logictech Playgear Mod from him. Logitech Playgear Mod is a headphone made for the PSP. Its really awesome and the sound quality is good too.

Visit Singapore (Part1)
Most of u guys know that recently I went on holiday to Singapore and now im finally back home, well ... I was back home 2 days ago. Was very tired to post updates on my blog. Anyway, the trip was enjoyable. We (me and my fren Alan @ Zerg) went to various places such at Ochard Rd and Ang Moh Kio.
The 1st day we touch down at Singpore, we took a cab to our hotel (Quality Hotel) at Balistier Rd from HabourFront (Vivo City). Then we went straight to Funan IT centre. We met up with Talietzin and Terrorisk. We when hunting for best pricing on Xbox360 and PSP game prices. After looking around, we finally bought some stuff from Gamescore, a gaming shop. I bought my Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops PLUS, Final Fantasy Tactics and 4GB Sandisk mem card for my PSP, while Alan bought 2 sets of Eye of Judgement boxed set for the PS3 .. of course with abit of help from Terrorisk on the discounts of those items. It was slightly cheaper then over here in Malaysia.
After that we decided to hang around and later that night we when back to Vivo City and met up with a few of Alan's frens, most of them are Xbox LIVE players. We grab a bite at a food junction while waiting for FleshD3vil and Dracula SG to show up and pick us up to another location for dinner. We all sat behind Dracula's truck and enjoying the breeze while we head over to dinner.

T-Minus 3 days
You all might be thinking whats the meaning of my title "T-Minus 3 days". Well .. it is not a countdown for a space shuttle taking off :) but it is my trip to Singapore and I will be leaving on the 25th of this month. I have not been to Singapore since I was standard 5, I think that time Sentosa Island was just started.
Will be going there with my Xbox 360 community fren Zerg. I will surely enjoy myself over there for sure. Will surely do some shopping as well. Im thinking of buying a PSP, perhaps the Deep Red Value pack with a 4GB mem card and at least 2 games. This new toy will keep my occupied when im working nite shift .. hehehe :p
If anyone of my friends are reading my blog and want me to buy something from Singapore. Do contact me and let me know.
Ok! Thanks!
Cheers.

Paintball @ Isi Rimba ... yesterday
This was my 1st paintball exprience in the jungles of Isi Rimba located at Zoo Negara. Only 16 ppl showed up on that day consists of LYN/XBOX 360 community and organizers. We met up at Zoo Negara and drove into Isi Rimba. We started to register and prepared ourselves. The tutorial was really tired for me because I still have not slept yet due to working night shift before this even but I really dun mind.
The paintball scenario that we played was called "Rugby". The group has been splited into 2 teams, Team 1 and Team 2. The game rules are, there are 3 flags (Blue, Yellow and Red). Blue flag (team 1) is located on the hillside and red flag (team 2) is also located on another hillside and the yellow flag is in between the 2 hillsides. The objective is to take the yellow flag and run to the opponents base and touch the yellow flag with the opponent flag and you won the game. Sounds easy but its hard :). All players only have 1 life. Im with Team 2.
So .. the game started. My team splits in to groups of 3 ppl. Myself and my teamates (Tango) take the route up the hills. As I was already tired and breathing heavily, my helmet visor was all fog up and my vision was kind blurry. My jeans were dirty, my shoes fills with mud but all was great. I manage to shoot somebody but I dunno who that was. Then later on, one of my members on my team got the yellow flag and we were heading to the opponent flag to win the game, I was providing safe passage to the opponent flag and I got shot near the opponent flag in enemies territory. Then I headed to the safe point which is a camp up ahead with my marker and hands up in the skies to let others know that I have been shot. My teamates then shouted that we won the match.
We decided to take a rest, head back to HQ and have a drink. By then, it started to rain and we have to wait till the rain was over to continue the game. Instead of going to the jungle again due to muddy terrain and leeched, we ended up playing speedball instead except myself. I sat this one out because was to tired to go on. Speedball is fast action all the way. I think around 5-6 rounds of speedball until we call it a day. It was around 5pm i think that we all get ready to go back home.
Thanks goodness I did not have leeches on me but unlucky for both my friends who has leeches on them. The whole exprience was great and awesome for me. The thing that I learn from this was to always be prepared, build up my stamina and most of all .. get a good sleep before goin on paintball. Our warjounalist has taken lotsa photos, I will be posting them here when I get it.
Thats all folks. Cheers

Paramount/Dreamworks and Universal: "Still supports HD-DVD"
This is an updates on hd-dvd in CES 2008 and this is certainly a good news for hd-dvd. After sadly seing Warner Bros leave hd-dvd and will stop producing hd-dvd till May 2008, Paramount/Dreamworks and Universal decided to support hd-dvd which was announce today at the CES 2008. Im really happy and glad about this. Paramount and Universal has been making great hd-dvd movies such as King Kong and the Bourne trilogy. These year great movies by Paramount are Iron-Man and by Universal are Indiana Jones. Cant wait for those 2 movies to be on hd-dvd.
Cheers.

Warner Bros goes Blu-ray exclusive, New Line and HBO might follow
I was sad after hearing the news today that Warner Bros (WB) will be going Blu-ray exclusive and that New Line Cinema and HBO might just tag along with them. If that is true, I will not see Lord of the Rings trilogy and The Dark Knight both coming out on hd-dvd. This kinda sux because I am looking forward to the LOTR trilogy on hd-dvd. I guess I will be getting my Playstation 3 (PS3) sooner than I thought.
More news and future for the hd-dvd format will be announce at the CES 2008 convention happening this coming Sunday in Los Angeles.
Will update when I get more news on this.
Cheers

Aliens vs Predator: Requiem (review)
Note: There are some minor spoilers only.
Just came back home after watching Aliens vs. Predator 2: Requiem ... some ppl called it AvP:R at The Summit USJ THX cinema. Honestly .. IMHO, the movie was dissapointing from the start of the movie, the action was so-so and the storyline was bad. Each scene in the movie was so short, one scene was like around 15 secs and then it will skip to another scene and wise versa. It does not have a consisted flow. The acting was crap all the way ... its like talk for a few seconds and then action all the way. Im more into a storyline person. Another bad thing about this movie is the action, Predator .. a one man army against a dozen or more Aliens is abit impossible. The Hybrid Alien (Predalien ... thats what ppl calls it) was an all in one super alien, he or she is exactly a Predator, Alien and almost a Alien Queen when she started to lay eggs into humans. My frens calls it she-male alien. LOL.
In the movie, there are some teenagers who know how to use shotgun and machine guns where they seem to be an expert in using em ... where's the logic in that, they just go into a shop .. started grabbing those guns and starts blasting away those Aliens like they are so used to it and there this one time, a pizza delivery boy know how to give head shots with a machine gun. Lasly, the Hybrid and Predator end fight was cut short with a BOOM .. and that it .. they both just died.
The best part is the censorship board did not managed to censored all the "F" words in time. Thats was fun. Btw, dont get me wrong, the action scene has its moments, its just that the storyline which i do not enjoyed it. I would recommend, just watch it once and thats it, unless ur a fan of Aliens and Predator.
Lastly ... there will be a Aliens vs. Predator 3.
My rating:
Storyline - 4/10 stars
Action - 6/10 stars
Overall - 4/10 stars
Even the movie was not that good, I still got this from my fren ...
Its a Hybrid alien (Predalien) statue. It looks good next to my Master Chief helmet in my room.
Cheers
